IB HISTORY: May 2022 - Exam Overview + May 2022 Changes
In History, students only have to answer one question in paper two. For the HL course, Paper three now consists of two essays (each from a different section), instead of three. - Paper 1: 1 hour (not modified for M22 Exam) - Paper 2: 45 minutes (only 1 question) - Paper 3: I hour 45 minutes (only 2 Essays, from different sections)
Things to Remember for Paper 2:
You don't have to know every war or dictator, but remember, exam questions may ask about a type of war (civil, revolution, guerrilla, etc.) Additionally, a question might require you to discuss 2 dictators or wars from two different regions. Know your IB map and prepare accordingly.
Things to Remember for Paper 1:
The paper is similar to a DBQ...so most of the information you need to answer the question is in front of you! The mini essay will require you know some outside things too so be sure to prepare
